You mightâve already heard of Mastodon; itâs a distributed, federated social network (written in Ruby on Rails!) which a lot of people who have grown weary of Twitter are switching too.
I think one of the most interesting aspects of Mastodon is that you can have âthemedâ instances, communities of people with something in common, which helps them discover other people with similar interests while still participating in the federated set of all Mastodon instances (the âfediverseâ).
With that in mind, Iâve set up an instance specifically for us Rubyists, which youâre all welcome to use if youâd like. You can find it here:
